Guided tours for schoolclasses and groups

Guided Tours for individuals in German are offered free of charge on Sunday from April to October at 2:30pm. Reservation is required.

Guided tours are also available for groups of adults or students. Please contact us for a reservation.


From the south (Saarbrücken/Kaiserslautern) or north (Koblenz) take Autobahn 1 (A 1) to exit 132 (Reinsfeld). Follow the signs "Gedenkstätte SS-Sonderlager/KZ Hinzert" via the B 52 (in the direction of Trier) to exit Hinzert. Follow the signs "Gedenkstätte SS-Sonderlager/KZ Hinzert" to the memorial site.

From the west (Trier) take the B 52 to exit Hinzert. Follow the signs "Gedenkstätte SS-Sonderlager/KZ Hinzert" to the memorial site.

The memorial site is not accessible via public transportation.

A pathway with a grade of 7% leads to the memorial site. The surface changes from asphalt to loose chippings in the cemetery area. There are 5 steps to get to the monument.

The permanent exhibit and the seminar rooms of the SS Special Camp Hinzert are wheelchair-accessible.

The surface of the entrance area changes from carpet to wooden floors. The permanent exhibit has concrete floors.

Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on the ground floor (door width 87 cm).

Guided tours for visually impaired visitors in German are available by appointment.
